Local and Long Distance Services

Niner Phone Service local service provides residential line service with the following features:

Unlimited on campus calling to other students and administrative/faculty telephones

Unlimited local calls - The campus has a very expansive 'free' local calling area which includes the entire 704 area code area as well as portions of the 828 area, 803 area (South Carolina) and the 336 area code area. LATA-MAP.doc

Long Distance service is not provided with the campus local phone service. Students may use calling cards, or purchase prepaid cards or use cellular service to make long distance calls. Prepaid cards are for sale at a variety of campus location including the C-Stores, Bookstore, and Cone Center's Candy Counter.

Access to calling card and collect calls through the long distance carrier of your choice. (Students can access another long distance carrier by dialing the carrier's 800 number and then entering an account number for that carrier)
